What are the shop opening hours?

Opening hours:

Monday: 10 am to 5 pm. By appointment

Tuesday: 10 am to 5 pm. By appointment

Wednesday: 10 am to 5 pm By appointment

Thursday: 10 am to 7 pm. By appointment

Friday: 10 am to 5 pm. By appointment

Saturday: 9 am to 3 pm. By appointment

What to expect at your bridal appointment?

We recommend you make an appointment before visiting so we can have a consultant on hand just for you. Walk-ins are welcome, but a stylist may not be available to assist you in trying on. We will endeavor to organize the next available appointment with one of our consultants so you can enjoy the total experience. 

We also recommend bringing no more than 2-3 people with you on a Saturday. Remember, too many people with different opinions can make the process very confusing for the bride, and she may lose her natural instinct and sense of style and possibly choose a bridal gown that one of your guests thinks you should wear. 

The hour-long consult will give you plenty of time to try on different dresses in your size. There are many silhouettes to choose from in our Melbourne bridal shop. Every style includes fitted mermaid, A-line, and Ballgowns. Plus, formal bridal gowns or simple boho styles.  In that hour, you will not only have fun but learn a lot from our consultants—little pearls of wisdom to help you navigate the process.

 

Will my gown need alterations?

You may be one of the lucky ones born a standard stock size and not need any alterations. However, most of us aren't perfectly proportioned.  Some designs usually need some adjustment, possibly in at the bust and out at the hip or vice versa. Hemlines may need taking up.

You will need to bring the shoes you will be wearing on the day so the dressmaker can ascertain the perfect length for your gown.

If the design has a train, it may need to be bustled at the back to make it easier to party on afterward.   

All this fine-tuning takes place 4 to 6 weeks before the wedding and is an additional cost quoted before alterations start.
