Payment and Lay-by Information

We understand that purchasing a wedding dress is a significant decision, so we aim to make payment as straightforward as possible.

Online payments

Orders placed through our website can be paid for using the payment methods displayed at checkout.

Available payment options can vary depending on the device, order and checkout settings. Your order is not confirmed until payment has been successfully processed.

Showroom payments

Wedding dresses and accessories purchased through our Hallam bridal showroom can be paid for using the payment methods available in store.

Please speak with our team when booking or attending your appointment if you have questions about payment.

Wedding dress deposits

A 30% deposit is required when placing an eligible wedding dress order or arranging a lay-by.

For made-to-order gowns, your order will not enter production until the required deposit and order details have been received.

Please check your gown style, size, colour and order details carefully before confirming your purchase.

Four-month lay-by

A four-month lay-by plan is available for eligible wedding dresses purchased through our Hallam showroom.

The usual arrangement is:

  • A 30% initial deposit
  • Regular monthly payments over four months
  • Full payment before collection, dispatch or alterations commence

Payment dates and amounts will be confirmed when your lay-by is arranged.

Lay-by is organised directly with our showroom team and is not currently available through the standard online checkout.

Ready-to-wear gowns

Ready-to-wear and off-the-rack gowns are available only in the particular size and colour shown or confirmed by our team.

A gown cannot be collected or dispatched until it has been paid for in full.

Made-to-order gowns

Made-to-order gowns are produced in the standard size, colour and options selected when the order is placed. They are not made to individual measurements.

Once a made-to-order gown has entered production, cancellation restrictions and fees may apply. Please read our Refund and Returns Policy before confirming your order. The current returns page already states that made-to-order gowns enter production shortly after purchase and may incur a 30% cancellation charge.

Alteration costs

Alterations are not included in the advertised gown price or lay-by balance unless expressly stated.

Any required alterations will be assessed and quoted separately. Final alteration costs depend on the gown and the work required.

Late or missed lay-by payments

Please contact us promptly if you are unable to make an agreed payment.

We will discuss the available options with you. Continued missed payments may result in cancellation of the lay-by in accordance with the agreed lay-by terms.

Final payment and gown collection

The full balance must be received and cleared before the gown can be:

  • collected from the showroom
  • dispatched
  • released to a dressmaker
  • altered or taken away

Please allow sufficient time for final payment, collection and alterations before your wedding.

Book an Appointment

When you book an appointment with a trained bridal stylist at Perfection bridal, they will typically spend 1 hour with you to understand your vision for your wedding day and help you choose the perfect gown and accessories to fit your style and budget.

We will also provide guidance on alterations, fittings, and other wedding-related styling issues. During the appointment, the stylist will have a selection of gowns for you to try on and may also provide you with information about silhouettes, Styles, fabrics, and other details to help you.
