The complete Plus Size Perfection Bridal collection is available to view and try on at the Leah S Designs bridal showroom in Hallam, in Melbourne’s south-east.

What are the showroom opening hours?
Our bridal showroom is open by appointment during the following hours:
Monday: 10am–5pm
Tuesday: 10am–5pm
Wednesday: 10am–5pm
Thursday: 10am–7pm
Friday: 10am–5pm
Saturday: 9am–3pm
Sunday: Closed
Appointments are recommended so one of our bridal stylists can be available to help you try on gowns.
Walk-ins are welcome to browse, but a stylist or fitting room may not always be available without an appointment.
What wedding dress sizes are available to try on?
Our Hallam showroom carries the complete Plus Size Perfection Bridal collection, with gowns available to try on in sizes 14 to 32.
The range includes a variety of shapes and styles, including:
- A-line wedding dresses
- Ballgowns
- Fitted and mermaid gowns
- Wedding dresses with sleeves
- Lace wedding dresses
- Simple and relaxed bridal styles
- Ready-to-wear and off-the-rack gowns
Not every design will be available to try in every size. However, our stylists can help you understand how a gown will fit and recommend similar styles available in your size.
What should I expect at my bridal appointment?
Your bridal appointment is a relaxed, one-hour styling session with one of our experienced consultants.
You will have time to try a variety of wedding dresses in different silhouettes, fabrics and styles. Your stylist will listen to what you like, help you explore suitable options and offer honest advice without pressure.
We recommend bringing no more than two or three guests, particularly on Saturdays. A smaller group can make the experience more relaxed and help you focus on how you feel in each dress.
Most importantly, come with an open mind. Brides often fall in love with a style they had not originally expected to choose.
Can I visit without an appointment?
You are welcome to visit the showroom and browse without an appointment.
However, an appointment is required if you would like to try on wedding dresses with the assistance of a bridal stylist. Walk-in fittings may be possible when a stylist and fitting room are available, but they cannot be guaranteed.
Booking ahead gives you the best opportunity to enjoy the full bridal experience.
Are all Plus Size Perfection Bridal gowns ready to wear?
No. The collection includes both made-to-order and ready-to-wear wedding dresses.
Made-to-order gowns are ordered in your selected standard size and generally require approximately four to five months for production before dispatch or collection.
Ready-to-wear gowns are physically available in selected sizes and can usually be purchased directly from the showroom.
Ready-to-wear availability changes regularly, so please contact us before visiting if you are looking for a particular size or style.
Is a made-to-order gown made to my measurements?
No. A made-to-order gown is newly produced in the standard dress size, colour and options selected when the order is placed.
It is not made to your individual body measurements, so alterations may still be required to achieve the best fit.
Your stylist will help you choose the most suitable size using the designer’s size chart.
How long does a made-to-order wedding dress take?
Made-to-order wedding dresses generally require approximately four to five months for production.
You should also allow time for delivery and alterations. We recommend ordering your gown at least six months before your wedding wherever possible.
Production and delivery time frames are estimates and may vary, so please speak with us before ordering if your wedding date is approaching.
Will my wedding dress need alterations?
Most wedding dresses require some alterations to achieve the best possible fit.
Alterations may include:
- Adjusting the bust, waist or hips
- Shortening the hem
- Altering straps or sleeves
- Adding cups or additional support
- Creating a bustle for the train
- Adjusting the neckline or bodice
Alterations are normally completed around six to eight weeks before the wedding.
Please bring the shoes and undergarments you plan to wear on your wedding day to your fitting, as these can affect the final fit and hem length.
Alterations are an additional cost. You will receive a quote before any work begins.
Can I buy a wedding dress off the rack?
Yes. We have a changing selection of ready-to-wear and off-the-rack wedding dresses available in selected sizes.
These gowns may be suitable for brides with shorter wedding timelines or anyone who would prefer to take home the dress they try on.
Some off-the-rack gowns may be showroom samples, so their condition and any required alterations will be discussed with you before purchase.
Do I need to bring anything to my appointment?
We recommend wearing nude or light-coloured underwear and bringing a supportive strapless bra if you prefer to wear one.
You do not need to bring wedding shoes to your first appointment. Shoes are more important when you attend your alterations fitting and the final hem length is being determined.
You are also welcome to bring inspiration photos, but do not worry if you are unsure what style you want. Your stylist will help you work that out.
What payment options are available?
Orders placed through our website can be paid for using the payment methods shown at checkout.
Wedding dresses and accessories purchased through our Hallam showroom can be paid for using the payment options available in store. Please contact us before purchasing if you have any questions about payment.
Do you offer lay-by for wedding dresses?
Yes. A four-month lay-by plan is available for wedding dresses purchased through our Hallam showroom.
A 30% deposit is required, with the remaining balance paid in regular monthly installments over four months. Payment dates and amounts will be confirmed when the lay-by is arranged.
Lay-by is organised directly through our showroom and is not currently available through the standard online checkout.
When does my gown need to be paid in full?
Your wedding dress must be paid for in full before it can be collected, dispatched, released for alterations or taken away.
Alteration costs are separate from the gown price and are not included in the lay-by balance unless clearly stated.
Can I cancel a lay-by or made-to-order gown?
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel a lay-by or made-to-order gown.
Cancellation fees or restrictions may apply once a gown has entered production or has been specially ordered. Please read our Refund and Returns Policy before confirming your purchase.
